The Fact File
What goes into RJRTV? Why is your favourite program the way it is? Well, RJRTV has many stories, but the facts match those behind the scenes. New facts every Wednesday on Twitter and archived here for your enjoyment.
Fact 1 (Published 6th August 2009)
Ok folks time for a RJRTV Fact! Did you know...during RJRTV's Youtube life a total of 40+ video clips have been uploaded? Yep, from early days encoding logos in flv format on a 64kb/s upload connection to today in mpg format with a 256kb/s upload speed! And a total of 6 GB has been uploaded as well...that's what I call heavy...
Fact 2 (Published 13th August 2009)
Ok folks, tine for another RJRTV Fact. Did you know? That over half of videos viewed on the channel have come from Google or Youtube search? Yep, nearly half the video views on the channel have come
from Youtube or Google searches by using the topic name.
Fact 3 (Published 19th August 2009)
Ok folks, it's Wednesday and it's time for another RJRTV fact! This one in particular may interest the vampire community on Twitter. Ok, did you know...that Countess Emily Marble was originally not intended to be the show it now is? Yep, originally the show was going to be about the adventures of a witch and a vampire teaming up together and trying to stop a rogue pack. And Emily wasn't called by that name in the original series... The early teasers had her name as M. Or Mary. In the end, the whole adventure story was discarded and the show you see today was born. Interesting....
Fact 4 (Published 26th August 2009)
Plus, yes factoid time, it's Wednesday and it means it's time for a RJRTV fact! So here we go.....did you know...that during the Viacom vs Youtube saga, a pilot episode was shot with yours truly speaking about it? Yep, a similar program to The Kitchen, titled "It's Not What You Think", was tried and filmed but never uploaded to Youtube. Why? Well the content was a little edgy, was mainly biased and after review, was not used. And the original footage was lost.... But a small segment of the program can be found on one of the earlier videos. Interesting eh?
And that list is growing, in 2010 the first series will be open for anyone to translate into many languages via @creativecommons licensing. Also three spinoffs have been produced. Xaviours Vampire Guide. And soon a visual version of Migel on Everything. And in 2010 a full length feature with Countesa Candice is in the works. Just goes to show that @creativecommons licensed machinima works.
